Client: RMS, Newell Hwy Realignment at Grong Grong NSW – REF, 2015

A Review of Environmental Factors was prepared for the proposed new section of the Newell Highway, realigning the road to improve road safety, providing a continuous high speed highway with access to Grong Grong. Key issues included biodiversity due to a number of threatened species affected by the proposed works, impacts on landuse including active farms, noise and vibration due to the close proximity to residences and socio-economic impacts on Grong Grong due to potential reduced passing trade. The REF was approved and is currently in detailed design.
