Client: Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council, Ellerton Drive Extension – Species Impact Statement, Queanbeyan NSW, 2016

NGH Environmental prepared a Species Impact Statement (SIS) and an Addendum SIS for the proposed Ellerton Drive Extension at Queanbeyan, NSW. The SIS evaluated in detail, the potential impacts of the Ellerton Drive Extension to flora and fauna species and communities listed as threatened in NSW (under the Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995). In addition, the SIS also considered the potential for impacts to species and communities listed at a Commonwealth level (under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999) to avoid duplication of the assessment process.

The SIS provided a systematic, rigorous and transparent assessment of the potential impacts to threatened species, communities and populations and was guided by approval from the Office of Environment and Heritage. Additionally, the SIS proposed a range of ameliorative measures to mitigate the potential impacts of the project on subject species and communities and their habitats, and to compensate for the residual impacts that could not be avoided or mitigated.

The SIS Addendum is publicly available at the following link:
